Students participate in all kinds of activities in the Gifted Class. They may make sculptures of masks used to tell about themselves or they may sew a "personal" quilt square together. (Please Note: There is a teacher at the sewing machine with the students as they sew....controlling the WHOLE experience!)
Logging in the laps walked on the new Walking Track!
Thanks to the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Mississippi Foundation our school has a Walking Track. Our project is called "Keyed-Up Bears" which is an acronym for Keeping Exercise Your Every Day Unique Personal goal, Because Exercise Achieves Radiant Students,Staff, and Stakeholders! We are in the beginning stages of keeping track of all who walk and some wonderful incentives are being planned to motivate the students. The goal is to promote healthy lifestyles.

Students work hard to document the number of
laps walked on the Walking Track. CONGRATS to
all Montessori Classes for being so consistent in your daily walking.
Some Precious REASONS Mrs. Land does Early Morning Duty!!
"I won!" "It was a draw." "I Lost!" It just did not matter as fun was had by all!
Wonderful parents supported us during this event.
Trips for Pizza to nourish us, kind words to comfort us.
Were we the winning school? Well, this teacher says that
it all depends on your definition of winning.
Did you show respect in all that you did,
follow the rules, help another kid?
Were you a good sport and shake hands and smile?
Did you let disappointment cloud your day?
What else can this proud teacher say,
"Yes, my students,you were champs,
winners all the way!!!"
I cannot wait to hear what the Principal will say.
I am so proud of you I cannot HUSH;
but truly, dear students,
I will stop this MUSH!!
